Inch Worm, Inch Worm

Today I worked on Inchies as part of my Art Every Day Month creativity. I must say that I have a lot of new found respect for anyone who can make an Inchie.

I cannot!

Well, I can cut and quilt an inchie, but I cannot make the edges look nice, despite watching tutorials on youtube, reading up on inchie edging techniques and asking my expert sewing friend, Elaine, for help. So this will likely be my only adventure down the Inchie path.

Why am I torturing myself so??? Because I thought they looked easy and I joined the Inchie Christmas swap (icon to the right... scroll down a bit). Silly me. Look before I leap...

  1. It is good to try new things! I would be happy to receive these in a swap. The material you are working with is so pretty. Hang in there and don't be too hard on yourself.

  2. What is the size you are working on? Have you tried blanket stitching by hand. I find a quit method is to drop the feed dogs and zigzag around and then go around again at an angle just go free motion. I will post a photo on my blog.

    Keep on quilting
